Proposed
Selective licensing

Royal Greenwich consulted from 21 July to 12 October 2026 on a new 5-year selective licensing scheme covering 17 wards plus part of Woolwich Arsenal (18 areas), up from the five wards currently covered. The consultation window has now closed; a Cabinet report and decision are still pending, expected towards the end of 2026. The existing selective scheme (Woolwich and Plumstead) began on 1 October 2022 and is understood to run to 30 September 2027; a borough-wide additional HMO scheme has run since 1 January 2024 (to 31 December 2028).
